Electronic resources

Several search tools are available to help you find articles, e-books, and other research materials. Most electronic resources subscribed to by Charles University can be accessed via the CU network or remote access.

Discovery service UKAŽ

To easily find articles, e-books, and other documents at CU, use the UKAŽ search engine. You can also search directly from the library’s homepage.

You can search from anywhere without signing in. Full-text articles are accessible after logging in via SIS/CAS.

UKAŽ does not search all available databases; the others can be found on the CU eResources Portal..

eResources Portal

On the CU Electronic Resources Portal, you will find all the e-resources available in our library and across Charles University - both licensed and freely accessible.

External users and Alumni Club members have access only to selected licensed resources..

Google Scholar

Google Scholar provides direct links to documents that CUNI subscribes to or owns. A "Find It @ CUNI" Find It @ CUNI link will appear next to the search results, leading to the full text.

Settings: Scholar → Settings → Library links → type "Charles University" → check Charles University - Find It @ CUNI. Charles University – Find It @ CUNI.

CU Digital repository

Final qualification theses defended from 2006 onward are systematically archived and made publicly accessible via CU Digital repository.

How to access e-resources

Direct access

If you connect through the CU network or eduroam, the resource will automatically recognize you, allowing you to access it without having to log in.

Remote access

Access resources from home or anywhere outside the UK through the EZproxy portal or by using the "Remote Access (EZproxy / Shibboleth)" links available for individual resources on the eResources Portal.
